I firmly believe that her title of High Lady is merely an ornament Rhys added to her name to make her believe that life in that court wouldn't be the same as it would have been in the Spring Court had she married Tamlin (and yes, that is a plot twist). People forget that the title of High Lord isn't something that is simply named or even inherited; the land itself chooses the holder based on power. When Tamlin’s father died, Tamlin became High Lord—even though he wasn't the eldest of his brothers. We don't even know if Nyx will inherit the title; it can be inherited by anyone who possesses the power and whom the land deems worthy through its magic. They say the land trembles and acknowledges you—something that never happened with Feyre. She is not a High Lady. Also… ALSO… she loses her temper on Baron and accidentally hurts the Lady of Autumn and she apologizes and that’s totally fine. But when she goads Tamlin into losing his temper and he accidentally hurts her he is automatically awful to many of the readership…. The double standard is so stupid.

Why would any of them consider it a legitimate title anyway? It is stated very explicitly that Prythian chooses its HLs - it's not just a title you give someone or can claim. It's an actual magical gifting by the land. Rhysand calling her his High Lady is the equivalent of him calling her his Ice Cream Bee Bop because it's just a title and it means nothing apart from what Rhysand, Feyre and HIS IC decide it does. It doesn't mean anything to anyone else.

i’ll never get over the time rhysand said he didn’t make feyre high lady bc of her power, but only bc he loved her. like bro… coulda said anything else. made her high lady bc of her sacrifice, or her potential to be a great leader, or her human heart, bro coulda said anything else but he just said it’s cuz he loves her.

Like no shade but I think people glaze Rhysand wayyyy too much. The idea of their being a lady of the high court is amazing but the way it was written just felt underwhelming and not actually respected. Also nothing about the inner circle makes it seem like everyone has a say and is actually listened to in the end it’s whatever Rhysand wants which is just annoying. Idk tho maybe the new books will be better

Let’s also mention that she have no knowledge of the politics, the history of anything regardless the people and Prythian. How are you supposed to be treated with authority and respect if you have no knowledge and you still want to argue and debate with people who has been doing the job for centuries.

They say high lady like it’s so impressive and powerful yet rhysand literally GAVE her that title… she didn’t get voted by the people or sacrifice anything more than the rest of the IC. Genuinely such a dissapointing result

I have begun to view her title as something equal to 'prince consort' - all 'high lady of the NC' actually means is she is married to the ruler of the NC but does not share in the sovereign's ruling powers or political status in her own right.

I think that when Vivienne spoke about also wanting the title of High Lady it was pure mockery directed at Kalias, something along the lines of "I never needed the 'High' before the title to get the job done, but you're going to give it to me anyway."

Exacto, al final Feyre es solo una consorte con un título bonito. Tamlin fue de cara y a ella le pareció una jaula de oro. Llega Rhys, le vende el cuento de "Alta Lady" pero a la hora de la verdad ella solo actúa como consejera: no gestiona leyes, ni impuestos, ni estrategia real. Acaba pintando, haciendo caridad y teniendo un hijo mientras él toma todas las decisiones de la corte. Le dio la misma jaula, pero le pintó los barrotes de colores y ella tan contenta.
