It’s not called Chinatown in Seattle. It’s the International District. Transplants have started calling it the CID, because they can’t fathom how it could be asian in general and it just Chinese.

Seattle is not known for great Chinese food, generally speaking. It is known specifically for excellent Thai and Vietnamese cuisines. There is much better Chinese food to be had in the International District, like Tai Tung Chinese Restaurant.

San Francisco has the biggest Chinatown outside of China. There was a huge migration from China to the West Coast of America in the 1800’s. So the west coast has the best most authentic Chinese. It would make no sense that Boston would have better Chinese based on the migration patterns in this country.

Welcome to Seattle! Love your TikTok! Try these places: Supreme Dumplings (South Lake Union); Tendon Kohaku - Japanese in International District; E-Jae Pak Mor Thai next door is yummy too (right by Uwajimaya Japanese Supermarket)! Saigon Drip Cafe in Pioneer Square is delicious, too! Take the dogs to Marina Beach Park (beautiful dog park section there) in Edmonds and watch the ferries go by on the Sound! You might even see some whales.

Can’t leave Seattle without getting some teriyaki from a semi-sketch looking spot in the Int.’l District. We also have AMAZING Vietnamese food here regionally, Bun Bo Hue - Bahn Mi - Pho - Fresh rolls - Viet Coffee all of it amazing.
