🆘 TIBERIUS is medically alerted and deadlined for 4PM TOMORROW Wed 9/9‼️Adopt or rescue this sweet senior to give him comfort in his golden years. (He is not available for foster care from the shelter but serious foster offers can attract rescue interest). Medically Alerted for progressive hindlimb weakness and pressure sores on the distal despite in shelter supportive care. X-rays revealed focal areas of spondylosis (r/o age-related changes vs. congenital vs. repeative focal physical trauma vs. other othropedic condition). X-rays also revealed increased opacity bilaterally in the stifles, and loss of smooth edges of the femoral heads and narrowing at the acetabulum (r/o hip dysplasia vs. CCL tear vs. other orthopedic condition). He’s a very sweet and affectionate boy who came to the shelter as a stray dog (in poor condition) in June. He is estimated to be 8-10 years old, physically vulnerable but allowed to participate in smaller, slower playgroup sessions. He’s been a low energy player with a gentle dainty playstyle. He often mingles but can be grumbly for space and less tolerant of males. We would hate to see this mature, loving, gray-faced sweetheart die at the shelter. TIBERIUS deserves to know love and enjoy the soft comforts of home life. We lost several medically alerted senior German Shepherds last month because no one stepped up for them. If you can help TIBERIUS, please go to the shelter before 4PM. TIBERIUS #A2280022 8 yrs old, 79 lbs, male German Shepherd 📍South LA Animal Shelter, 1850 W. 60th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90047, 📞 Tel: 888-452-7381 Rescues please email: catherine.lee@lacity.org jasmine.poblano@lacity.org matthew.spease@lacity.org roman.rincon@lacity.org Shelter hours: Tues-Fri 8am-5pm | Sat & Sun 11am-5pm | Mon emergencies only
