I hate when people say “what if” because the exact same thing would’ve happened regardless. Even if the ball doesn’t get wedged it’s best case scenario 3-2 runner on 2nd and still 1 out. Dodgers went to their bullpen regardless. Next hitter popped out, and then the next hitter hit into a double play with the runner on 2nd getting thrown out trying to get back to the bag. The ball getting wedged played had 0 effect on the game

Even if that ball doesn’t get stuck, it’s a double off. The wall with One runs scored and the Blue Jays are still losing by 1. If the game plays out the same way as it did after that, the Dodgers still win.

Those plays suck when it's your team on the short end of the stick. If the roles had been reversed, Toronto fans would've been screaming GROUND RULE DOUBLE. As a baseball fan, that series is one of the best I’ve seen in my lifetime. The Blue Jays seemed to be the more dominant team, but the Dodgers fought back and capitalized on Toronto’s mistakes. Then, Game 7 happened and it took it to another level. It sucks we had to have a loser, but it made for great baseball.
