I hate to be that guy, but rules has written banishment only send you to a harmless demi-plane, and then if the concentration is held for the full minute and you are not from the plane you are banished from you are banished to your home plane to a random location there. so the Warlock wouldn't be in the shadowfell yet. but rule of cool and story I like it
