In my opinion the issue isn’t the fridge. Yes there’s a discussion on if the company provides a small one for him or if he’s responsible for his own mini fridge (I lean on the side of you being responsible for your own comfort.) the issue is the misogyny in how he’s approaching his issue with milk. The language he uses will absolutely spill over into casual talk between coworkers and turn into a discrimination suit.

I think this is less about veganism and more about OCD, honestly. He’s talking about how fast germs spread and talking about the breastfeeding mother needing to wear gloves and sanitize. That seems more OCD than any of the vegans I’ve ever met.

The fact that breastmilk was called disgusting, to me, is the bigger issue here. I get not everyone breastfeeds however this mum chose to feed her child this way. And pumping to keep your supply up is absolutely crucial to the process. Because that’s what breastfeeding is, a process. It’s not just nursing! There’s a whole damn process NOBODY prepares you for!! Like that’s one thing that definitely should be included is how often baby eats in the beginning, the cluster feeding, the pumping, the storing, the cleaning, ( of our nips and artificial nips if we are doing bottle and breast) the soreness and cracking the engorging. Like it’s a whole fkn process and this man has the audacity to complain? How infuriating!
