I won’t lie the original version of this was over 8 minutes long but I chickened out. 4 weeks ago, I nervously hit post on my first video sharing my true emotions about pregnancy loss with ‘strangers’ I questioned whether it was the right thing to do, I never imagined I would still be sharing this pain almost a month later. I’m sick of feeling this way, I’m sick of hearing myself sound so dull and sad and I’m starting to let the anxiety of other people being sick of me too creep in so this one was particularly hard to share. I feel like I should be ‘over it’ by now and doing better. The women in my comments and inbox who relate word for word to how I’m feeling keep me going, and help me to feel so much less alone when I’m in a foreign country, without my husband and the time difference back home is really doing me dirty. I’m honestly not sure I would have coped without this community helping me to realise that what I’m going through is completely normal, even though it’s a million miles from my normal self. I am able to look in the mirror and see my own flaws, I know I am not good at letting people in and you will never EVER catch me asking for help - this is because there are countless times where I’ve gone through something and been honest with someone who I thought I could trust and would support me and somehow I’ve ended up being the local gossip, been told to get over it/snap out if it/stop being dramatic, blamed, or even not believed. It has shaped me into a fiercely independent woman who pushes negative emotions aside and puts everyone else first which is a blessing and a curse and as a result it takes a LOT for me to depend upon or open up to someone. I have always known this about myself but I’ve never done anything about it because the only person it is hurting is me (loop back to the part where I struggle to put myself first) but a few weeks ago Josh said enoughs enough you’re hurting too much not giving yourself any grace and none of this is your fault - so he booked me into therapy. I’ll talk more about this tomorrow. Thanks for being here ❤️‍🩹 #pregnancyafterloss #miscarriage #miscarriageawareness #ttc #grief #MentalHealth
