LAWYER MARTIN KPEBU ADDRESSES DEMONSTRATORS OVER POLO’S ARREST AND THE CLOSURE OF NANLAMTAABA ENTERPRISE Lawyer Martin Kpebu has addressed demonstrators in Bolgatanga during a protest over the arrest and continued detention of Zongdaan Boyak Kolog, popularly known as Polo, and the closure of Nanlamtaaba Enterprise in the Talensi District. The demonstrators are calling for Polo’s release and the reopening of the company’s operations. They argue that the company holds a valid mining licence and that a court order had been granted in connection with its operations. Addressing the gathering, Lawyer Martin Kpebu also spoke about a petition presented to the President, appealing for his intervention to resolve the matter. The demonstrators are demanding action from the relevant authorities, insisting that their concerns be heard and addressed. Their key demands: Polo’s release, the reopening of Nanlamtaaba Enterprise and respect for the company’s legal authorisation.
