I can understand this point but I view making a man financially invest before sex as an insurance policy. A lot of women want commitment or exclusivity, but too many men will lie about wanting the same thing just to get sex, then completely switch up afterward. So I understand why some women started requiring something tangible upfront. It’s basically, “If you’re going to deceive me, waste my time, get what you wanted, and disappear, you’re not going to be the only person who walked away with something valuable.” Maybe if more men were transparent about only wanting sex, fewer women would feel the need to protect themselves this way.
