Hey so Home Depot employee here. We have an app that literally anyone can use. If customers ask me where something is, I look it up on the Home Depot app. Just don't ask me for help with any projects that might require a specific department because I won't be of help there.

They don’t pay a lot, have hard hours, and the information the customers think you’re supposed to know is nothing that you need to know. Why would every employee need to know where stuff is? They are there to take care of the store, which is almost self-service except when you need power equipment. I would never blame a problem on the employees, you always bark up the tree. Why can’t Home Depot pay and train properly to keep a well-informed staff?
