A lot of people talk about his Italian campaigns, but the battles that showed off his prowess of defeating his opponents in detail the most is his Six Days’ Campaign, where with 30,000 men, who were green boys and old with no training and lacking in boots and uniforms let alone guns, he defeated an enemy force nearly twice his size (56,000), inflicting over 31,000 casualties on them and only suffering around 3,000 casualties himself in turn. He lost only a tenth of his army and took away over half his opponents, inflicting more casualties than he had men to command, the Duke of Wellington would remark that those battle were his very finest.
