I would propose that no insurance company be allowed to be a "for profit" company. I do believe in free market insurance because competition drives invention but board members and stock market value should not dictate medical practice.

Health insurances are converted to nonprofit what was my first thought because that would have the effective slowly lowering healthcare cost overtime but on second thought, maybe group price regulation would have a faster and larger effect that reducing overall health insurance costs.
