I know that sounds terrifying when life already feels this uncertain, but sometimes the fight against what IS hurts us more than the moment itself. Anxiety asks us to live in a future that hasn’t happened yet and suffer through every possible version of it in advance. You don’t have to solve your whole life today. If someone cannot provide direct assistance, there is nothing wrong with offering sincere encouragement. But we should stop presenting wishes as predictions and hashtags as solutions. Ask what the person needs. Share legitimate resources. Offer food, transportation, temporary shelter, employment leads, money, or practical information when possible. The world does not suffer from a shortage of “sending prayers” comments. It suffers because conscious human beings repeatedly witness preventable hardship and substitute comforting words for meaningful action.

Trust me, I know exactly what you are feeling! I'm so far in the red I promise I couldn't see the light to be back on the black side. I had to go to my boss and tell her I was leaving to go to another job with more money even though I can't stand the company. I prayed and talked to my boss, the superintendent and his secretary and I went from $30 to $38 an hour. They also brought me groceries and diapers for my baby!
