It genuinely feels like people were being paid to spread the “this isn’t about innocence” line

Honestly love Reb. As a layperson she explains stuff really well and I do trust her opinions a lot.

Correct. Here’s the part I genuinely don’t understand: how can a “not guilty” verdict based on reasonable doubt apply to the physical acts themselves when Lindsay did not dispute that she committed those acts?
The defense’s own position and the agreements made with the Commonwealth established that the issue was not whether someone else physically killed the children. The defense acknowledged her involvement in the acts, while the real dispute was whether she was legally criminally responsible because of her mental state.
So how could a reasonable doubt about the physical acts themselves realistically lead to a simple “not guilty” verdict, rather than a finding of lack of criminal responsibility?
I understand that “not guilty” was legally available as a verdict. My question is: what evidence could create reasonable doubt about the actus reus when the defense itself was not disputing that Lindsay committed the physical acts?

I think I would’ve actually cried if Reb wasn’t on the right side of history with this. I would’ve hated to block her.

there are 2 male content creators on here who are lawyers who seemed to have forgotten women are entitled to the "innocent until proven guilty"... they were saying she killed her kids like it was a forgone conclusion before the mistrial... they would hear no argument to the contrary.... I just blocked and moved on... youre an attorney and are ignoring the complete lack of actual physical evidence??? they are simply misogynistic

I mean, sure it's technically available, but no reasonable jury would find a defendant not guilty when the defense isn't arguing for a not guilty verdict.

Why are Americans so eager to punish people who get sick for the rest of their lives? First medical debt now this?

But why she could technically be found not guilty isn’t this very unlikely given the fact her entire defense was her being in psychosis and Reddington said several times during the trial she did it?

You're misunderstanding. The 11-1 was for sure not guilty due to mental defect NOT not guilty.

Honestly I’m on the fence of this . I believe Lindsay shouldn’t be held criminally responsible and honestly I’m hoping she gets acquitted . The problem I have are the people trying to blame her ex husband for this even when they don’t have any solid evidence for this . They keep saying Lindsay is innocent until proven guilty but doesn’t that apply to Patrick too? It just irks me because I see they are all just projecting their past failed relationships and it’s so strange

I made a super benign comment that I wasn’t saying she did or didn’t do it nor any assumption about Patrick but that the prosecution has not met their burden. The absolutely vile comments below that comment were insane. Doxxing threats to my clients or cases or dockets. Calling me horrific names. Questioning my credentials and telling me I’m stupid and a see you next Tuesday etc. All because I simply gave an opinion as an attorney. Also, got called a stupid B for saying that NG was on the jury sheet. It was actually crazy. I blocked hundreds of people in a matter of days.

I started clocking about halfway through this trial the major difference of opinion(regardless of level of expertise) seems to be between people who immediately trust authority against those who are okay with questioning authority. it's why it's so split even between lawyers. the idea that an investigation could have possibly been flawed/nonexistent is such a foundation-shattering suggestion to some people to the point that theyd rather close their minds to any possibility despite that not being the point of the justice system. :/

They reported it like it was a bifurcated trial. like no, they DENIED the request to split the trial into just what to do when she was found guilty of the actual charges.
