now that me and my three sisters are all getting up into our 60s, we have been talking and comparing stories and we realize Mom is the actual problem. We still don’t hang out and get along like we used to, but it’s pissing my mom off so bad that we are getting along and her plan didn’t work.. even though she still talks and gossip about us when we’re not in the room and then smiles to our faces. When I’m there, she talks about my other sisters badly. Because she wants me to not like them.. and like I said, you can tell it makes her so damn mad that we still talk

Yep, my MIL... two SIL's and my MIL let it slip during conversation that they were talking about my husband & I getting divorced. WE'VE never talked about divorce, we're very happy. She mentioned that to be manipulative & drive a wedge between us. Not happening, just makes our decision to go no contact the right decision

When my husband finaly found the confidence to go no contact, she pretended to be sick/have a cancer scare. Ofcourse she's back in our life now, she's healthy all of a sudden and everybody moved on like her abuse never happened.. As someone that comes from a quiet chill family, this drains me so much.
