I did an estate sale in the neighborhood and saw Wendy ..stopped my car and she was coming over for help.. I got out of my car and a neighbor started screaming at me to not help the coyote. Neighbor said she had a small dog and kids and wanted coyote gone. My passenger in my car and I noticed Wendy looked like she had been shot in face .. looked like a bullet in her. I know one neighbor did care and gave water and let coyote sleep in their yard. But no one we could see was trying to get her medical treatment. My passenger and I reached out to weigh station in Malibu but the could not help we also called dog shelters to see if we could get help if they knew of another wildlife rescue ..they responded no!

Hey I’ve tracked Wendy and was the one who named her 🥰 she’s not truly safe yet and we need to ensure she gets placement in a sanctuary or a humane zoo etc. Basically the CDFW makes the choice of what happens to her and they usually default to euthanize if she can’t be released. I’m asking the community to send an email or call to the Dir of CDFW to ensure she gets placement in a sanctuary or humane place so she can live out her best life! 🙏🏽

So I am glad someone found help! The neighbors I spoke to did not want her around. So it’s great this lady knows all the neighbors helped.
