It's funny I'm not OK because I lost my dog 4 months ago and it has changed my life in every way you can imagine. He came into my life 13y ago and changed it. It gave me purpose I gained a best friend, we were inseparable. He was my best friend I was his, he was my life as much as I was his. My presence would light him up when I came home from a contract, I'd sit up after a night shift so he could sleep before 2h run in the park every single day me sleepless.. I got a career working away 7y ago and I worked it around him, his old age made it hard I spent hundreds a month making sure his old bones didn't hurt as best I could I didn't care the cost I paid it for him. I left for a long contract and he died while I was away - that broke me. Knowing I wasn't there for my best friend on his last day fucking broke me. I was sailing the south Pacific and my best friend was put to sleep without me at his fucking side man His passing has allowed me freedom I've never known.. I was just turning an adult when he arrived and I'm fucking 35 now and my life has just begun but god I miss my fucking dog man. . The freedom is as amazing as the silence is deafening.
