As a DG ASM…. The warehouse did that… most if not all penny items are too be returned to to the warehouse (unless a customer finds and wants it), and are usually returned back to us the following year or a couple months with new skus and either same or higher prices.

Dollar tree also doing this, but the stickers are easy to remove and yes I do remove them and pay a penny 😆 this is horrible.

Also I was told at mine that the app is third party just because your app says that doesn’t mean it’s always right . We go by our computer system and our hht . We don’t care at ours if people buy the penny items like some stores do just don’t mess up the store and don’t be rude is all we ask 🤣

I understand you know, it's the warehouse, but I don't understand you saying it was supposed to be a penny. That's why they penny things out. So we send it back, and they reprice it before it comes back out. See, you can't be mad if something is repriced. It is a store that's how they sell things. I just don't understand this video at all.

Nothing “is suppose” to be a penny. Dg does not mark down items to a penny with the intention of being purchased. And yes dg gives new upcs along with new prices on items that are sent back as pennys to warehouse. The company gets a credit towards stores and I’m sure corporate when penny items are returned. Pennys aren’t intended to be purchased

i see you were already told this was the warehouse but also just telling every penny shopper that after you leave the store we have to go remove all the rest of the items u didnt buy and throw them away or send them back for repricing

indeed and the reason why most Dollar Generals want to send the penny items back to said Warehouse is the store will get credits for lower shrink on items. and can help out their inventory.

these items that are a penny are supposed to be sent back to the warehouse not all items not food and things like that but larger items for more expensive items usually get sent back to the warehouses three stickered and resent out that's why I see the same patterns over and over and over on the blankets and the cups and things like that

What do you expect. Dollar pages are all over fb, inta and here. Its only a matter of time before no one will be able to buy a penny item because people and employees act crazy over them.
