@kaiseroftianxia: On this narration of Anas رضي الله عنه, Ibn Ḥajar explains that it demonstrates the Prophet’s ﷺ excellent character, patience, and his refraining from rebuking Anas over what had already occurred. The narration is placed by al-Bukhari himself in: بَابُ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ وَالسَّخَاءِ وَمَا يُكْرَهُ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ “Chapter: Good Character and Generosity, and What Is Disliked of Miserliness.” So al-Bukhari himself uses this report as evidence concerning the Prophet’s ﷺ ḥusn al-khuluq (excellent character). There is also a particularly useful fuller wording in other authentic narrations in which Anas says that if members of the Prophet’s ﷺ household blamed him, the Prophet ﷺ would say words to the effect: “Leave him, for if something had been decreed to happen, it would have happened.” This further illustrates his forbearance. #muslim #revertmuslim #muslimtiktok #muslims #salafi
