I like to think the online fashion community is only a small ‘sector’ in itself taken from one very large picture. As a terminally online person myself… you can tell when people get their dress sense purely from short form online content. It’s a bit of a cliche thing to say but I really do think personal fashion ‘taste’ can expand when you take reference from things that aren’t just clothes (/ online fashion space). Rick Owen’s took a lot of his inspiration from brutalist architecture, and when you look at his work… it really makes a lot of sense. The coolest creators I see on this app (aside from “the speakers”) are often the ones who only get a handful of likes and attention, ironically.

I started watching the ig/tiktok fashion model, then when I wanted to learn more I found the larpers. Realized their takes were garbage when I started watching jq, mark and Adame and now I make speaker fashion content (at least I think I do)
