Get your stuff back, take a friend with you. If he asks for money and the amount isn’t unreasonable I suggest paying him but make sure he knows you will not be meeting with him alone.

Be expected to pay him whatever he paid for the unit. People buy these to make money, he will be at a loss if he gives it to you. side not why did the storage company not contact you when you were late on payments?

Go with him and bring a friend (preferably a man), maybe bring a gift card or a coffee as a “thank you” so he’s aware of your expectations. Also ask to refund the amount he paid for the unit! If you can get ahead of it he may be nice!
