You missed the part where Jeeves also explained our clothes really aren’t that dirty and Ariel is the worst rated for skin health, allergies and the environment. I also tried switching to it for the same reasons as you and my boyfriend and I both got itchy

a fellow clean freakz fan who also loves scented laundry! for me, i like to use tide free and clear odor refresh (jeeves’ number one liquid) with either my favorite unstopable beads, snif booster, or the laundry sauce scent beads! that way i’m getting a crazy good clean that doesn’t clash with my scent boosters. also highly recommend the laundry subreddit if you wanna go down some cleaning rabbit holes and nerd out!

Chlorine bleach is not great for clothes! It can yellow whites over time. I think you’re missing an oxygen bleach like vanish or Oxiclean in your routine! I add 2-4tbsp in each load and it really helps with whitening and stain removal.

also it’s totally normal to find that your clothes smell weird the first time you use detergent with enzymes!! it’s the oil on your clothes breaking down! just gotta wash it a few more times 🙂↕️🙂↕️

I had Ecos and learned that it was the equivalent of handsoap so now I use Tide Free and clear that Jeeves recommended. unfortunately I have 2 extra bottles and didn't want to give it away because it's trash so I just use a touch of it in bigger loads with my tide for scent only OR washing floor mats or my paddleboards so I don't feel like I'm wasting it lol
