@dr.haworth: Looking better is not just having smooth skin, minimal wrinkles and folds. It’s also about appropriate proportions and this is what this case so aptly illustrates 👨🏻‍🔬👨🏻‍🎓. My beautiful patient had an advancement osseous genioplasty years ago ( to bring her chin forward) which left her with visual step offs in the bone and a bulky, less feminine “Witch’s chin”. (Don’t blame me for the term witches Jen, it is actually accepted term in the official plastic surgery literature). She also had a previous upper lip 👄 lift and a rhinoplasty 👃🏼 which she felt was suboptimal. The goal was to shorten her chin and provide a tapered feminine transition back into the mandibular angles of her jawbone.. Obviously there would be scarring which would present added challenges. . This was performed solely through a 3 cm incision below her chin. Once the bony work was complete with advanced techniques and instruments, I did my best to provide a seamless transition between the overlying soft tissue of her chin and neck. I also performed a 3- upper lip 👄 lift to revise her prexisting one along with nasal base 👃🏼 narrowing ➰, Medialized Corner Lip Lift and a lower lip V-Y plasty. I added facial fat transfer to the mix including to her nose improving the results of her suboptimal rhinoplasty. This exceeded her expectations of what fat can actually do to the nose.
