Perry learned about Brenda Daurham’s situation after FOX 32 Chicago reported that a burst pipe flooded her Markham home and Allstate later denied her claim, leaving her with a lien from the restoration company. Perry paid the `$18K lien, removing the biggest obstacle preventing Daurham from returning home, and publicly called out Allstate for failing to help the longtime policyholder. Daurham, who has lived in her home for more than 40 years, said she is grateful for Perry’s support as community groups also rally around her with furniture, supplies and additional assistance.
