@theclippingarchive.1: Is the AI revolution actually making companies more productive, or is it just a massive, expensive experiment? Tech critic Ed Zitron breaks down the brutal truth behind the AI bubble, highlighting a recent study showing zero correlation between massive AI spending and actual revenue growth. While the hype machine promises efficiency, the reality looks more like a race to replace human roles with cheaper—and often worse—automated alternatives. If AI were truly the productivity miracle everyone claims, the results would be impossible to hide. #AI #TechNews #EdZitron #ArtificialIntelligence #TechBubble

He's talking about tokenmaxxing which has always been stupid, but we're way past that now. If you actually look, on a basic level, at what companies are doing right now, part of the problem is they're not even measuring ROI right.

He’s not wrong, but not also completely right. As a senior software engineer, I can tell you that Claude Code in my hands has been pretty fucking useful, and has increased my productivity. Like a lot. I’m not saying that AI is a net good. I’m just saying that using one particular tool has resulted in a productivity gain for me.
