I just discovered that the trimming the wick reference in 10 virgin parable is a reference to rapture/resurrection! Trimming the wick in Hebrew in Exodus 30:7-8 is "alah" which means "to lift up" and in Strongs #5927 also is translated as: recover, restore, rise, fly up, disappear, ascend, carry up, mount up, eagle, dawn (like Jesus dawning in our hearts- 2 Peter 1:19) , come up before God, bring up animals (😁), to meet (1 Thess 4), garments on body (2 Cor 4:17), depart, go up, **dew, spring up, shoot forth (like resurrection **Isaiah 26:19-21), shock of grain, covering bones, weight in balance, healing, brought up, to be taken up, be exalted.

So I’m a little confused what about the people who may not have realized it before they died? What happened to them? They deserve the same punishment as Lucifer. I can attest to that what I did before and was normal for me doing things probably everyone does things you think don’t really matter eg-taking a shopping cart home and keeping it to use as a laundry trolly, now I can’t do anything like that anymore I feel so bad and guilty oh the feelings - no way anymore

John 16:8 to 11 does not say someone must experience a separate event called “Holy Spirit conviction” before they can be saved. Jesus says the Comforter will “reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment,” then immediately explains the sin: “Of sin, because they believe not on me” (John 16:9). The issue is unbelief. Scripture then tells us plainly what saves: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). Paul defines the gospel “by which also ye are saved” as Christ dying for our sins, being buried, and rising again (1 Corinthians 15:1 to 4). Ephesians 2:8 to 9 says salvation is by grace through faith, “not of works,” and Ephesians 1:13 says that after hearing the gospel and believing, someone is “sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” So yes, the Holy Spirit reproves the world and exposes unbelief, but Jesus never made a particular feeling of conviction an additional condition of salvation. The condition Scripture gives is faith in Christ. Conviction may lead someone to recognize their need, but salvation occurs when they believe the gospel.
