mid westerner here. its normal. they will find each other by scent and sound. dont do anything. your scent will mess with the search. im not sure if your area is like ours but deer population is very heavy so there's no one to help them unless they need to be put down. I had a hurt baby outside my house and I was told that since mom still comes back to it to leave them be.

She’s the problem child 😂That happens. Babies usually stay hidden during the day for the most part but one problem child always seems to wonder around. I bet she’s grounded now and can’t come out to play.

I always worry about the babies losing their mommies like when I see one in the road the first thing that comes to my mind is I hope she didn't have a baby

If it helps you feel better when they get scared, they can Pancake to the ground and they don't have a smell. So it's hard for predators to find them, because they don't have a scent..... So I'll keep my fingers crossed that baby is being smart and cautious and pancaking in a bush or tall grass, when needed.

so about 3 months old they allow them to go off on their own sometimes mom stays close you can't see but she can .. hopefully she didn't get hurt .. last week one my visitor babies was in my yard not sleeping... something got it . we are so similar like west coast east coast but same happening here. with the deer. all the family deer like 20 of them came for a funeral it was so heartbreaking...
