On top of the economic side, freedom of movement ended in 2021, so UK citizens lost the automatic right to live, work, or study across the EU without a visa, and the UK also left the Erasmus+ exchange program for the smaller Turing Scheme, which doesn't fund incoming EU students. Estimates on all of these figures vary by source, and some economists dispute the size of the productivity hit — but the broad direction of the data is consistent across studies.
