:I remember once I faced, APH patient with active bleeding come to OR to undergone emergency CS. she is anemic with pale conjunctiva and borderline BP, tachycardia. after I take a history and informed consent I decided to proceed with GA. then I prepared necessary material and start to preoxygenate. then the senior resident comes and denied my plan, ordered me to proceed with SA. I were asked for him for his clarification and I told him my concern with justification. he didn't want to hear anything from me. in meantime our patient becomes agitated with our conversation. I stopped talking with him and reassured my patient and calm down my self and proceeded with SA after I saying him to discuss at the end of case. I were managed her appropriately during intraoperative. after all I stablised the patient and transferred from table. I were find him to discuss smoothly about the scenario at the end of the case. unfortunately he disappeared from the OR before the fascia was closed. what is your suggestions on this scenario? እናንተ ብትሆኑስ?

I once had an argument with an anesthetist regarding SA vs GA for Young man with acute appendicitis. I told her only if you scrub in with me and retract his abdominal muscles will you give SA. 😁😁

The choice is primarily made by an anesthesiologist/ Anesthetist! #CLEAR! Health Profession & Delivering Medical Health services system itself is a Team Work that Not Only for operational procedures but also for any Medical Decisions for each patient. Never Negelect Pre-op evaluations and discations for the team as well as patient preferences any where! any time! by any means! ...Thats why its different from Other service delivery system sectors & Faculties.🤔
