I seen a different theory that they get their powers from what shapes on their stomach. Buddy Is love (I love Beddy song/hugs) and Bennys is sun which is why he’s in the well with no light and Bobby comes out at night that’s why buddy likes to end the show before he comes up. I know he wasn’t in it when it was night but I liked this theory

My theory is that there is going to be 3 buddy movies but all with different buddy characters. Like buddy, benny and Bobby

SPOILERS and theory: Supposedly, their symbols represent what they need to survive. Buddy needs love, Benny needs sunshine, and Bobby needs to be the star of the show who gets the majority of attention. Buddy didn't like that Bobby was getting a lot of the attention as the main character, so he killed him and forced Benny into reclusion away from sunlight to suppress his powers. He made Benny craft the prop characters and had his use aversion therapy on the props to make them believe they were always a sentient object. That explains the weird rooms Freedy found in the corridors. Buddy was bound to fail without the other unicorns on the show and Freddy succeeded in breaking the cycle and killing Buddy.

No what if, Buddy killed Bobby and Benny saw? That's why Benny lost his eyes, lost his voice, and was trapped down there. So he wouldn't say anything. The same happened to the blue mailbox when it saw Buddy kill Josh.

For me I have two theories either Bobby is the mailbox bc he knows where to go and guides the kids during the movie or he’s outside and that’s why buddy was scared to go any further than he did in the movie bc he had said that there was a monster in the woods and to never go out and think about it it can be Bobby bc he’s powered by stars at night

I mean lowkey, what if there was a show before buddy and the three of them were the main characters with bobby being the main character since he’s in the middle, buddy and bobby got into an altercation and caused the show to be rewritten into the buddy show since we obviously saw buddy is capable of rewriting things and erasing things, and now the buddy show has gone rouge and buddy erased any evidence that leads back to him, he left benny alived cause he was cowardly and could work on bringing things to life

Buddy locked Benny in the well bc sunlight would heal him. So he is stuck being blind and mute until the sun hits him. The things that heal them are on their chest. That’s why buddy healed with love
