There’s a brand called failsafe that makes thermos that’ll open up itself if the thermo went bad

That’s only masking the problem on a shit cooling system…. 1 hole is ok and acts as an air lock bleed, doing 4 is overwriting the thermostats job

In our racecars we would cut out the thermostat part and just use the housing.

I drill mine, even if it’s just a tiny hole. Bleeding the engine is so much faster. Plus if it ever gets stuck shut you still get some circulation.
