I say no more insanity pleas. Isnt everyone a bit insane when they commit murder? The only question is,did they commit the murder yes or no. Thats it. If yes they get a death sentence. This iis to be carried out within 2 years. One year for appeal. Then if the sentence if guilty is reaffirmed the deth sentence is carried out the following year. We must have justice for the murdered. No more insanity pleas. We must stop being soft on murder. We also need to speed up the court process for the sake of the families who suffered the great loss of a loved one. They need to move forward as quickly as possible. Some of these cases are taking years before they get to court. Eye witnesses memories fade, or they die. We must push justice to the front of the line. We also need to stop rehashing every jury decision. If they say guilty, guilty it stay unless strong, compelling evdience surfaces post conviction. Just because a convicted felon doesnt want to go to proson doesn't mean they get a new trial.
