imo in this economy, if there is only one parent working then they are probably busting their ass trying to make the money for the household. being a stay at home parent IS a job but if she’s not going to do that job then she should get one where she is getting paid, otherwise she’s just sitting around doing nothing all day. Like if the father was a stay at home parent not cleaning up around the house people would be flaming him. Also this is not to say if you take a few days off because of whatever reason, stress or just needing rest, that is not the same as purposeful not helping.

My son is 4 and already knows it's his job to put his garbage in the trash can, his plate and fork by the sink, and his toys back where they came from. We're still working on doing it all the time! 😁😁😁

I do a ten minute clean up to help. Usually it lasts more than 30 minutes and then everyone starts cleaning too.

Kids at any age toddler and above are capable of cleaning up their toys. They need to be shown and told to do so but if they can get them out they can put them away. Also, going on a cleaning strike to show that you do it all isn’t a flex. Imagine if a man stopped going to work to show how bad it gets if he doesn’t go. It’s just childish.
