🚨ELSA SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 9/8 FOR BEING UNDERSOCIALIZED🚨 5 month old Elsa is an adorable Lab/Doberman mix who was surrendered with her sister, Anna, for “too many animals to care for.” 💔 Both girls were born at home & lived with adults and 5 other dogs, but they had very little exposure to the world outside of that environment. Elsa spent part of her time inside when owners were home & part outside or in the garage. She has never been around kids, cats, unfamiliar dogs, or strangers before now. Now she’s in a shelter environment surrounded by unfamiliar people, sights, & sounds, and she is absolutely terrified. Elsa is the more fearful of the two sisters. She won’t take treats from someone’s hand, is frightened when approached, and runs to the back of her kennel & barks when someone comes toward her. She isn’t showing the playful, affectionate, energetic puppy she may be once she feels safe. She has also developed a URI & is currently on medication. Elsa doesn’t need to be labeled as a bad dog because she’s scared.
