I don’t think people meant it like that expect that is all your life is but I think you speak of teaching so they identify with you being a teacher and really teaching doesn’t end at 3:45. You may leave your bldg then but for most of the people they do a lot of work with teaching plans etc outside of of your timeline.

I’m a high school teacher and the belief is teachers work 9 till 3, however, there’s no way I can fit everything in those hours. Planning, preparation, marking, meetings, etc. would love to knock off at 3.45. Totally agree outside of school is our time.

I’m a teacher, so I totally understand what you mean. It almost feels like I’m committing a crime whenever I post a picture of myself at a restaurant or having a drink. I can’t imagine being a content creator and having people not understand that: 1) this isn’t your niche, and 2) teachers don’t get paid that well, so TikTok might actually help financially.
