As someone from Dublin If he was there first she should of found somewhere else you can’t just tell him to move just cause he isn’t Irish doesn’t mean he can’t preach there

This was me trying to busk a few weeks ago. I completely understand and respect your faith, but I think it’s worth remembering that the Bible also speaks about the power of music. 1 Samuel 16:23 says that’ Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him. Music may not save us, but it can comfort us, bring people together and help us express things that words sometimes can’t. I hope you can understand why music means so much to people. I have so much respect for what he is preaching, however he seemed to have no respect for street musicians, and the rules that apply to all amplified acts. On grafton street each act has to finish exactly on the hour according to rules, and also needs a permit(which he didn’t have). I was okay to let him preach 20 minutes in to what should have been my performance set out of respect, however when I approached him he claimed “the rules don’t apply to him” he left out many parts of this video where he was rude and spoke over us. At the end of the day I’m a 19 year old just trying to make a living. I don’t think I should be villainised for this. I realised that day that his account is not actually about his faith itself, but about the people he attempts to rage bait for a viral video.

There’s always two sides to every story. This video doesn’t show the full interaction or everything that was said, so I don’t think it’s fair to take one side based on a short clip. There are rules and protocols around street performing that should be respected, and respect goes both ways. Please remember there’s more to what happened than what you’re seeing here.

WHY is he asking you to respect her when they should have respected the fact that you were there FIRST! So the respect should have come from them and she could have still played her music and you could have preached.. it didn’t need to be a case of one or the other.. it could have been so simple. I think you’re right, I think he saw you online and came over ready for an argument!
