I hate it. Like in Festus mo we are fighting a data center and the amount of businesses in town still using this ai slop genuinely pisses me off. Like canva is free and you can create your own stuff and print just like this.

reasons why this sucks: 1. False advertising because it’s not actually their food 2. It’s horrible for our environment to use ai for dumb reasons 3. They could’ve just took pictures of their actual food and hired somebody to make a banner (or do it themselves since it’s simple af with apps like canva)

Not Missouri but I also went to an asian festival and 90% of the food banners were all AI slop. It was disgusting 😭 hate that it’s becoming more and more mainstream

I think it's tacky but also I understand it. people can't afford to pay an original graphic designer for a banner that will be used a couple of times a year when they do outdoor events. this certainly isn't art, but it's just fine. I use AI for all kinds of things. fussing about AI use to make a poster is just about the same as fussing about going to a restaurant when you should be cooking at home anyway. pokedoke is mid anyway, tho, and I do make my own poke 🥰
