It took me years to realize this, but it’s true. As a business owner, I never actually created a job for anyone. It’s my customers who created these jobs. Without the customers there’s no jobs.

That is not true for all business owners. If you're starting a business to fulfil an existing need then you are right. But, the business owners who create a new product or service and then create the need are the ones who create new jobs

I've always said like under 60 or 80k income tax should be removed and the government should be like Norway get more tax for oil, and use that revenue to replace that lower income tax brackets.

100% I said the same thing during the 2008 bank bailouts. If they would have given the bailout money to the people instead of banks. People would have spent the money and boosted the economy

This is just semantics, yes consumers want a thing. They can want that thing till the cows come home. Until someone stands up and says, I’m gonna make this thing and invest in it and build it, then the jobs happen. It doesn’t happen just because consumers want a thing.

There’s principle in classic economics that dates from 1803 called Says Law. This principle asserts that production creates demand. In fact, it asserts that all demand originates in and is limited by production. It ranks among the silliest principles in economics and is one of several examples that illustrate that the field of economics has zero understanding of either business or consumers. I spent my career in business strategy working with clients of all sizes from all over the world. In all that time I never encountered a situation that fit Says Law. Every business pursues customer demand. That’s what it means to be a “business.” There are lots of situations where that customer demand may be latent and there are many whole classes of strategies aimed at unlocking that latent potential but nobody creates a business without any demand.
