There's a song I like that's about this, "White Noise" by Will Wood, give it a listen. "It makes no statement but does so quite loudly" is the line that comes to mind most. It's the bystander aesthetic, the look of not being into politics, of the hostile park bench, of drinking an elaborate coffee while watching some bum get fucked up by the cops, of it not being that deep. Nobody can be mad at you because you didn't even do anything, nobody can prove that you knew choosing belligerent neutrality would lead to an outcome that you secretly wanted anyway, you're literally just existing, the blood was on the money long before it ever hit your trust fund and nothing is your fault so long as you never, ever admit to taking a side
