Ashh :
it's definitely not as gory as some things mentioned, but having to watch my normally bouncy, hyper male ferret , deteriorate rapidly in a week due to depression. His best friend, a male ferret belonging to my best friend, moved away, and we didn't realize how attached my ferret had gotten until it was too late.
He would just lay on the floor of his cage, whimpering and crying, refusing to play or interact with the other ferrets he'd been raised with.
He passed in my hands, and I just screamed, begging God to give him back. He was so young, and so full of zing, that seeing him deteriorate so fast , hurt so much
I didn't know he had gotten so attached to the other ferret. He had been around our girl ferrets longer, and played just as rough with them as he did with the other boy.
My best friend's ferret was perfectly ok, and I saw him just last October when I went to visit her.
