I had that happen to me when my son was 6 years old. We was at his football game and some older kids had talked him into following them and they took him down by the river. I was freaking out. Once I seen his face my knees gave out and I literally hit the ground and peed my pants. I had never been so scared in all my life.

my kid literally walked past multiple adults including her father when I went to the bathroom because she heard "headed to the truck"....less then 4 years old, softball game in another state, had to cross a road to get to the car...I have never been so terrified in my life and she was so confused why I was crying when the coach brought her back to me. NO ONE else noticed her missing until i walked out of the bathroom asking where she was

In 1984, my 14 month old disappeared at the mall. No one cared. I was frantic for an hour. Finally found her in a clothing rack, hiding. my little brother had just taught her to play "Hide and Seek". I bought a baby leash/harness that day.

Happened to me in the 80’s. My cousin let me walk from one area to the other to go to my mom and she wasn’t in that area anymore. My mom had them looking for me and when she found me she spanked my butt for walking off! Like fr my cousin was in charge she let me! My dentist was there and it embarrassed the crap out of me! 😂😂😂😂😂

In Brazil (and I know there are other places as well) when a child goes missing, everyone starts clapping. And that is the universal symbol to look for a child that is all by themself and everyone jumps into action. Everyone keeps clapping until they get this signal that the child has been found. I think that's amazing because no one has to yell to let anyone else know. When you hear everyone clapping, you know exactly what your mission is.

I know the feeling I got so scared your heart goes down to your stomach your body starts shaking you get nervous the worst feeling for a mother to have and nobody can calm you down because all your focus and you're locked on is your child I don't wish that on anything mother but that's why I learned to give my kids my phone when we're out so that way if they can't find us they can call their dad we have a buddy system nobody goes alone

yes it's scary... when my daughter was 4 she decided to get up in the middle of the night and went to sleep behind the couch and it was horrible to not find her in her bed 😞
