Yeah... no. I think that's sugarcoating the cards. The 10 of swords is necessarily a phase of ruin, only then things can get better, but you can't jump straight into the positive.

I have always said the ten of swords is the worst card in the deck, BUT every single card has a good side. the ten of swords means it cannot get worse. yes you're at rock bottom, but you can't go lower than that

In the ‚modern witch tarot’ deck the ten of swords are in there two times. the second one is just titled with „everything is fine“ but they are essentially the same card. I really find that beautiful! As you said, most times the card is associated with something negative. And sometimes you feel like that person in the ten of swords themselves and you just need this small and powerful phrase!

plus arent swords mental? so its about thoughts and beliefs? or am I wrong on that idk. I would read the 8 as being trapped by her own thoughts but as she puts her feet into the water she is learning to move more into her emotions and intuition.

10 is the end! I get it and think "oh thank fuck" my least favourite is the 9 of wands. coz I resonate with it. beaten and bruised. yes, near the end, but you've gotta have more persistence to get there.
