@ashleyklemieux: Leave “LOVE” 👇 for the links to this easy and delicious lunch/dessert/meal prep you can take to friends postpartum, going through grief, or who are sick. In my own grief and post partum, I learned that when asked what I needed, I didn’t know. I just needed someone to do the thing, because it all felt so hard. I’ve also learned that most people won’t ever tell you if they need anything. So, my rule of thumb is texting them to ask if “Tuesday night is a good night to leave dinner at their doorstep.” This is how we create a village ❤️ And it feels important to me to teach my daughter how to create her own as she grows up. Leave “LOVE” for links to an easy and delicious meal to take the next time someone you love needs you 😘
I love this energy!!! I hope that all women have reciprocated love and attention during a hard time ❤️

When my wife was in surgery after childbirth and things were super touch and go. I’m so glad a friend ignored me when I said he didn’t need to come. He brought a bag of burgers assumed none of us had eaten. He just kinda hung out. His presence and kindness meant the world.

When my dad passed away, I couldn’t think of what I needed. Those texts meant well, but it was a dead end because I was so lost. Even though I had no appetite, having people stop by with food made me eat something and reminded me I’m not alone in the grieving. This is a beautiful lesson to be taught 🥹
