In college we had a friend that was drunk and was in the hot tub and jumped out of the hot tub and dove into the shallow end of the pool and broke his neck and became paralyzed from the neck down. Ruined his lacrosse career and therefore his scholarship.

I’ve noticed on one of the local lakes here, someone always ‘goes missing’ and is then later found to have drown when they jump in the lake after they’ve been drinking. Any ideas what’s happening to them? Maybe they are swimming the wrong direction and end up running out of air? I’ve always wondered…

Me ending up in a neck deep river after falling out of my kayak….perhaps I had one too many Fireball mini bottles 😭 walking thru the river would have been unbearable sober but I was having a blast … could have been so much worse

i was 14/15, drunk and high and swimming in a friends backyard pool. i slipped and smacked my head underwater and thankfully just inhaled water, but somehow stayed conscious. i will never forget the HORRIBLE feeling of your lungs trying to force every drop of water back out

in my early-mid 20's, I literally just could not swim or stay afloat when I was drunk. in swimming pools or at the river. so grateful that I didn't drown.

Me, who has continuously gotten worse motion sickness the older I get, and the only thing that helps is alcohol because it offsets the inner ear imbalance that I get from motion sickness

i could see a correlation between alcohol and hypothermia because even if you are actually really cold, you feel warm from the alcohol and you may not realize how extremely cold you are right away.
