Ganymede, Europa and Callisto are among the most fascinating worlds in our Solar System. Beneath their ancient layers of ice, vast oceans may lie hidden, perhaps holding environments capable of supporting life and raising one of humanity’s oldest questions: Are we truly alone? At the heart of these distant worlds exists Jupiter. Its immense gravity shapes the paths of comets and asteroids, sometimes capturing or deflecting objects that might otherwise travel to Earth or other planets. In this way, Jupiter acts almost like a giant cosmic vacuum cleaner, sometimes helping to protect Earth from potential impacts. My piece ‘Jupiter’ is a musical journey through these distant worlds, imagining what it might feel like to wander across their frozen landscapes, beneath the immense presence of Jupiter. #piano #pianist #jupiter #callisto #calmingmusic
