try some pentas and lantana's butterflies love them and they handle Florida soil and sun.

what zone are you? I highly recommend natives like firebush, coral honeysuckle vine. Firecracker does well, Salvias especially Mystic Spire, pentas, vincas, sterlie lantana unless you're going native. Butterfly and Swamp milkweed, black eyed susan vine. Also remember that "full sun" doesn't mean Florida full sun. That is why I highly suggest natives, plus it will bring in all the pollinators for your veggies.
