@ohreesehair: The Denman brush isn’t the only way to finish curly hair 👀 I genuinely thought once I had defined my curls with a Denman brush and allowed the hair to dry… that was basically the curl pattern. Yes, I could separate the curls with my fingers or shake the hair out for more volume, but sometimes that volume would start looking more frizzy than soft and fluffy. Then one day, the curls were just too chunky for the finish I wanted. I thought, let me try breaking them up with a wide-tooth comb. Worst case? I’ll just redefine the curls again 😂 But when I combed it through, I realised I could completely change the finish without starting the styling process again. Then I tried a smaller-tooth comb and broke the curls up even further. Same wig. Same original curl definition. Completely different finish depending on how I comb it out. Now I don’t automatically reach for one method. Sometimes I use my fingers. Sometimes I use a wide-tooth comb. Sometimes I go smaller. It all depends on the finished look I’m trying to create.
