Even if a multi-million-dollar vault existed below, a surface nuclear detonation generates a massive seismic shockwave that travels thousands of feet into the bedrock, crushing unreinforced structures and triggering violent rockbursts that collapse the walls inward. Furthermore, a heavy nuclear surface blast creates a crater over 1,000 feet deep and pulverizes the surrounding rock far below that, completely shearing off any deep shafts or access points. To cap off the absolute incompetence, he protected his entry with a flimsy plastic water tank hatch held down by a single cinder block. A nuclear overpressure wave would blow that plastic lid down his shaft like a blowdart, while his rainwater pipeline conveniently channels radioactive black fallout directly into his own drinking supply. He didn't build a nuclear shelter. He built a 2,640-foot vertical coffin with a built-in water feature.

Lie, it would cost millions upon millions to burry something half a mile deep, so unless he secretly has hundreds of millions and spent a massive chunk of his fortune to burry something enough to hold even a singular person, i doubt he has the supplies for near Indefinite periods of staying down there
