@.alrafayumrahtaxi: The Journey to Taif — A Story of Patience and Mercy ﷺ When Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went to Taif to invite its people towards Islam, he hoped they would listen to the message of Allah. Instead, the people of Taif rejected him and treated him with great cruelty. They encouraged their children and others to chase the Prophet ﷺ and throw stones at him. He was injured and his blessed feet were bleeding. Despite this pain and rejection, the Prophet ﷺ did not curse the people of Taif. Allah sent the Angel of the Mountains and offered to destroy the people between the two mountains. But the Prophet ﷺ chose mercy. He hoped that from their descendants would come people who would worship Allah alone. The journey to Taif remains one of the greatest examples of the Prophet’s ﷺ patience, forgiveness, mercy, and trust in Allah. ﷺ May Allah fill our hearts with the same patience and mercy.
