9th grade for me…it made me more angry than scared. My dad didn’t want me to join after graduation in 04. So I moved out in 05 and joined in 06. Deployed during enduring freedom in 07, 08, and again in 2011.

Senior year of high school I was taking a biology test when my teachers daughter called her to tell her about it... I was thinking going to the US for college my family said no way. My dad signed up in the Army again after that. I cried my ayes out when he told me he was going back to war.
